The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially released the approved Hajj fare for the 2025 season.
The announcement was made under the leadership of NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, following approval from the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria.
In collaboration with the Presidency and other stakeholders, the commission said it has succeeded in maintaining the fare within a reasonable range.
Among the contributors to the achievement, as made in the statement signed by the Assistant Director, Information and Publication, Fatima Sanda Usara, were Malam Ameen Amshi, Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, and key representatives of the Forum of State Executive Secretaries.
Others, according to the statement, include, Malam Idris Ahmad Almakura, Forum Chairman and Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board; Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of Kebbi State; and Alhaji Abubakar Salihu, Executive Secretary of Adamawa State.
While the 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa Zone is pegged at N8,327,125.59 that of Southern States, and Northern Zone N8,784,085.59 and
N8,457,685.59 respectively.
Professor Usman commended the efforts of all stakeholders in achieving this outcome, describing the fare as a product of inclusive decision-making.
He also expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Presidency and the Forum of State Executive Secretaries.
The NAHCON Chairman advised prospective pilgrims to adhere to Saudi Arabia’s guidelines and emphasized the importance of early registration and payment to avoid last-minute challenges.
