Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting Islamic development and improving community welfare.
Speaking at the commissioning of a newly renovated mosque, Governor Aliyu highlighted the importance of the project, describing it as part of his government’s broader initiative to enhance places of worship and foster social cohesion.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to providing a conducive environment for worship and community activities while promoting Islamic values and strengthening social ties among our people,” he stated.
The commissioning ceremony featured a two raka’at Jumu’at prayer led by Professor Matbuli Shehu Kabara of Bayero University, who also commended the state government’s dedication to religious development.
Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, also applauded the governor’s efforts, acknowledging the administration’s positive impact on religious and community growth in Sokoto State.
