The Federal Government has unveiled the National Health Fellows Program, a new initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians to drive positive change in the country’s health sector.
According to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, the program targets individuals aged 25 to 35 and will operate across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
“The Tinubu administration is requesting applications from young Nigerians to enroll in the National Health Fellows Program,” Onanuga said.
Adding that, “Selected fellows will be remunerated and equipped with appropriate tools to transform the health sector.”
Interested applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements, including holding a bachelor’s degree in health-related fields, IT, or social sciences.
Candidates should also demonstrate an interest or experience in public health, NGO activities, or community projects showcasing leadership and initiative.
Additional requirements, aa gathered by WorldClass247News, include, being an indigene of the state applied for,
availability to participate full-time in the program.
Others are, possession of a smartphone with internet access for communication tools like WhatsApp and Zoom, and a recommendation letter from a university dean, NYSC primary assignment supervisor, or a respected organization.
