The Yobe State Pilgrims’ Commission has announced the official Hajj fare for 2025, set at N8,327,125.59, with a payment deadline of January 31, 2025.
This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Mai Aliyu, during a press briefing in Damaturu.
The fare, approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and announced by its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, requires intending pilgrims who have deposited N8 million or less to complete their payments before the stipulated deadline.
Alhaji Mai Aliyu emphasized that completing payments on time is crucial to allow the commission to finalize the list of intending pilgrims and remit necessary funds to NAHCON.
He assured pilgrims of receiving $500 as Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) and promised enhanced arrangements compared to the 2024 Hajj.
“In 2025, we have reviewed and improved accommodations in Makkah and catering services to ensure the comfort of our pilgrims,” he stated. He also highlighted that only those who complete their payments will have their documentation and visa processing done.
The chairman revealed that the commission has initiated negotiations with Saudi service providers to guarantee quality feeding and accommodations during the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Mai Aliyu expressed gratitude to the Yobe State Government, for its continued support of Hajj operations.
He urged all intending pilgrims to adhere to the payment deadline to avoid disruptions in their Hajj arrangements.
Calling for cooperation, he assured pilgrims of a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience during the 2025 Hajj.
