Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has once again demonstrated his commitment to supporting small businesses by providing N200,000 each to petty traders along Gujba Road in Damaturu.
The initiative, which took place on January 23, 2025, marks the fourth time in recent days that the governor has extended such financial aid to struggling traders.
The financial support, as learnt by WorldClass247News, is part of Governor Buni’s broader efforts to revive micro and small enterprises facing challenges due to a lack of capital.
The cash distribution was overseen by Alhaji Babagana Alhaji Modu, popularly known as Bature Goniri, who emphasized the positive impact the initiative will have on bridging the financial gap affecting many small-scale entrepreneurs.
Speaking during the event, Alhaji Bature Goniri stated that the gesture aligns with the governor’s vision of fostering a thriving economy characterized by wealth creation and sustainable development.
He urged the beneficiaries to remain law-abiding citizens and use the funds to grow their businesses effectively.
The traders expressed deep gratitude to Governor Buni, praising him as a leader dedicated to translating his commitment to good governance into tangible benefits for the people.
They also described the initiative as a lifeline for their businesses and livelihoods.
