Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state, has called on the Federal government to allocate more projects to Adamawa State, expressing concerns over the state’s exclusion from federally awarded contracts.
Speaking at the government House in Yola during a meeting with the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency, Fintiri urged the Federal government to address the disparity in contract allocations.
He noted that while contracts worth trillions of naira have been awarded nationwide, Adamawa has been largely overlooked.
The governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, highlighting the completion and commissioning of several previously abandoned projects since he took office in 2019.
Governor Fintiri also raised alarm over the deteriorating condition of federal roads in the state, describing them as hazardous to commuters.
He called for urgent rehabilitation efforts to enhance road safety and stimulate economic growth.
Responding , Khadijat stated that her visit to Adamawa was part of a nationwide assessment of abandoned Federal Government projects.
She applauded governor Fintiri for his dedication to development and the successful execution of various projects across the state.
