The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has presented Certificates of Return to its senatorial candidates in Imo State following the conclusion of the party’s nomination process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The certificates were presented at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, to Eze Madumere, candidate for Imo East Senatorial District (Owerri Zone); Jones Onyereri, candidate for Imo West Senatorial District (Orlu Zone); and Mike Duru Ejiogu, candidate for Imo North Senatorial District (Okigwe Zone).
The presentation formally confirmed their emergence as the duly elected senatorial candidates of the PDP for the 2027 general elections.
The event marked a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections, with the candidates reaffirming their commitment to effective representation, strengthening the party’s grassroots structures, and working toward the PDP’s electoral success across the three senatorial zones of Imo state.
Party leaders and stakeholders who attended the ceremony expressed confidence in the candidates’ experience, capacity, and commitment to advancing the interests of their constituents at the National Assembly.
A party source described the candidates as “tested, trusted, and proven,” expressing optimism about the PDP’s prospects in Imo State ahead of the 2027 polls.
