The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has commenced its Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for shortlisted applicants seeking employment into the state civil service.

The test, which kicked off on Wednesday, is being conducted across designated centres in Yola and other parts of the state, drawing thousands of candidates from various local government areas.

Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Abubakar Umar Maiha, who monitored the exercise, described the process as smooth, transparent, and reflective of global best practices. He said the CBT format was adopted to ensure a merit-driven recruitment process devoid of manipulation or favoritism.

Maiha lauded the candidates for their orderly conduct and urged them to give their best, emphasizing that only competent and qualified individuals will be selected for final placement.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his continued support in repositioning the state’s civil service and for creating job opportunities for the youth.

The examination will run for several days in batches, with security personnel and exam supervisors on ground to ensure a hitch-free process.

Applicants have been advised to regularly check their emails and phone messages for updates on their examination schedules and venues.
