Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has stressed the need for greater alignment between federal and state-level development narratives to promote cohesive governance and lasting impact across Nigeria.
The governor made this known during a meeting with two senior presidential media aides Mr. Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Communication, and Mr. Tope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity at the Gombe Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
Discussions at the meeting focused on enhancing strategic communication, improving documentation of government activities, and harmonizing development messaging across national and sub national levels.
Governor Yahaya emphasized the importance of preserving institutional memory and building a governance legacy that future generations can draw from.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, proactive communication, and strategic partnerships as critical pillars of inclusive governance.
The visiting media aides praised governor Yahaya for his visionary leadership, citing his commitment to inclusive policies, infrastructural development, and effective communication of achievements.
Dare, described Gombe under governor Yahaya as a model of purposeful leadership in Northern Nigeria. He underscored the value of strategic storytelling in public service, encouraging leaders to build robust narratives around their programs and policies.
In his remarks, the governor welcomed the engagement as “mutually enriching” and said his administration would continue to leverage strategic communication to deepen public trust and enhance development outcomes.
