The Commander of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has been lauded for his leadership in fostering a secure business environment in Taraba State.
The commendation came during a local study tour by participants of the Strategic Management and Policy Studies Course from the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC).
Led by Major General Dahiru Sanusi, the delegation visited the Taraba State Business School, where the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gabriel Olayinka, highlighted the institution’s impact on entrepreneurship.
Established in 2015, the school has trained over 500 business owners, contributing significantly to the state’s economy. Olayinka acknowledged Brigadier General Uwa’s efforts in enhancing security, emphasizing that a stable environment has been instrumental in fostering business growth.
The team also toured the Technical Incubation Center of the National Board for Technology Incubation where they explored various initiatives aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
A final stop was made at the office of Brigadier General Jeremiah Aliyu Farans (rtd), Chairman of the Taraba State Board of Internal Revenue and head of the Special Taskforce on Environmental Protection, Public Safety, and Prohibition of Deforestation.
Faransa praised the 6 Brigade’s role in maintaining security, noting its direct impact on improved revenue generation and the success of environmental protection initiatives.
Major General Sanusi expressed appreciation to all hosts for their insights, emphasizing that the knowledge gained would be instrumental in shaping the participants’ final reports.
