In a bid to promote environmental sustainability, Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has commissioned new waste management equipment for the state’s Waste Management Agency.
The initiative, according to the governor,
underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment across the state.
Speaking, the Governor Okpebholo emphasized the importance of cleanliness in attracting investment and fostering development, stating, “Cleanliness is next to godliness. A clean environment will motivate investors and improve public health.”
The newly commissioned equipment, which includes pay loaders, compactors, and tippers, is expected to enhance waste collection and disposal in the state.
Governor Okpebholo urged the staff of the Waste Management Agency to ensure proper maintenance of the equipment, noting that their efficient use would benefit the people of Edo State.
