Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery by equipping hospitals with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
As part of this initiative, the government has procured two CT scan machines—one of which has already been installed at the Specialist Hospital, while the second is set to be deployed at Numan General Hospital.
During an on-the-spot assessment visit, Governor Fintiri led a government delegation to inspect the newly acquired machines, ensuring their proper installation and readiness for use. He emphasized that these upgrades are aimed at alleviating the healthcare challenges faced by residents.
In addition to the CT scans, the Governor also reviewed the Dialysis Unit at the Specialist Hospital, where patients have been receiving free dialysis treatment.
He noted that this service has significantly reduced the burden on those who previously had to travel outside the state for treatment. While dialysis remains free for now, the government may consider introducing a nominal fee in the future.
Governor Fintiri further announced plans to furnish and operationalize other projects at the Specialist Hospital, including the modern laboratory and the renovated Outpatient Department (OPD) complex.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people, the Governor stated that his administration has delivered on its promises, ensuring that the state’s healthcare system is revitalized to meet modern standards.
