The Gombe State Police Command has announced a midnight-to-dawn curfew in response to growing security threats.
The restriction, which according to the command, set to take effect from February 7,2025, will prohibit movement between 12:00 a.m and 5:00a.m.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abdullahi, the command cited intelligence reports indicating an increase in security threats, prompting authorities to take proactive measures.
The police urged residents to comply with the directive, emphasizing that the move is aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
Parents and guardians were also advised by the command to caution their wards, as violators will face strict enforcement.
Reassuring the public of their commitment to peace and security, the Gombe State Police Command encouraged citizens to remain law-abiding as efforts continue to ensure a safer environment.
