The Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, is scheduled to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Borno State House of Assembly on Monday, December 29, 2025.
The budget presentation, in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), will outline the monetary and fiscal framework of the Zulum administration for the 2026 financial year.
It is also expected to feature key policy directions and priorities of the state government for the year ahead.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Information and Internal Security, the event represents a significant constitutional responsibility and a major milestone in the state’s governance process.
Senior government officials, political leaders, representatives of the organised private sector, civil society organisations and other stakeholders are expected to be in attendance at the Borno State House of Assembly for the presentation.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar.
