Sokoto State Government has announced the free distribution of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration forms for the 2025/2026 academic session to qualified indigene of the state.
The initiative, which WorldClass247News, learnt was approved by the state governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, is aimed at supporting the less privileged students in gaining admission into universities and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
In addition to providing the forms and PINs at no cost, the state government, according to the statement issued out by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Bello Sodangi,will also cover the online registration fees for beneficiaries.
According to the Commissioner for Higher Education, Proffessor Isa Maishanu, the distribution of the JAMB/UTME and DE PINs will take place at the 23 Local Government Secretariat across the state.
The statement encouraged Interested and eligible candidates to visit their respective secretariat to collect and complete the necessary data forms.
