As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Presidency Project has moved to strengthen its international operations with the appointment of two senior officials to oversee its foreign affairs engagements.
The President General and Founder of the joint project, Chief (Dr.) Lazarus Nwachukwu, announced during the weekend the appointment of Amina Maiwada as National Director of Foreign Affairs and Engr. Chief Patricia Ozioma as Deputy National Director of Foreign Affairs.
The appointments, according to the leadership of the movement, form part of broader efforts aimed at deepening the organization’s global outreach and coordinating activities across its international chapters.
Speaking on the development, Nwachukwu said the newly appointed officials would drive the organization’s public relations and mobilization efforts in overseas branches, including the Presidency Project-USA, Presidency Project-UK, Presidency Project-Canada, as well as other international platforms associated with the movement.
He expressed optimism over what he described as the growing acceptance of the Presidency Project across Nigeria and beyond, maintaining that the organization could attract as many as 90 million members before the 2027 elections.
“The Presidency Project is spreading across the country like wildfire and will soon gain wider recognition beyond Nigeria,” he said.
The founder also used the opportunity to commend the National Director and Deputy National Director of Students Affairs for their contributions to the advancement of the movement, noting that their commitment had strengthened the organization’s grassroots engagements.
Nwachukwu further urged all 57 national officers of the project to redouble their efforts toward achieving the vision and objectives of the organization.
Political observers believe the latest appointments signal the group’s intention to expand its influence among Nigerians in the diaspora while consolidating support within the country ahead of future political activities.
The Presidency Project, as observed by our reporter, is being championed by the Center for the Promotion of Peace and Unity in partnership with the Asiwaju Tinubu Ambassadors and Friends for Good Governance and Better Nigeria.
