The Plateau State Government has condemned the killing of innocent civilians in Ruwi Community, Bokkos Local Government Area, following an attack by gunmen on the night of Thursday, March 27, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap, the government denounced the violence, describing it as an act of lawlessness that threatens efforts to foster peace and harmony among residents of the state.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration, the statement affirmed, will not tolerate brutal killings of innocent citizens. Security agencies have been directed to track down those responsible for the attack and ensure that justice is served.
“We urge citizens to remain calm as security operatives intensify investigations into the incident,” the statement read.
The government also expressed condolences to the bereaved families, with Governor Mutfwang offering prayers for the repose of the victims’ souls and a speedy recovery for the injured.
