Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has ordered the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Isma’il, over alleged dereliction of duty.
This was disclosed in an official statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida.
According to the statement, the suspension takes effect immediately, with the Commissioner directed to provide a detailed explanation as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for negligence and failure to effectively discharge his responsibilities.
The Executive Governor’s decision is part of an ongoing effort to enforce accountability and uphold performance standards across all ministries and agencies in the state.
Comrade Yunusa Isma’il will remain suspended until further notice.
