Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, of Katsina State will embark on a three-week medical leave beginning Monday, August 18, 2025, to address health concerns.
In a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, the governor expressed gratitude to the people of Katsina for their support, understanding, and prayers, assuring them of his commitment to return with renewed energy to continue serving the state.
“I want to thank everyone for their kind words and ongoing support,” Radda said. “Prioritizing my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state. I look forward to resuming my duties once my medical check-up is complete.”
During his absence, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal, will serve as Acting Governor to ensure seamless governance. Governor Radda expressed confidence in his deputy’s ability to lead with the same dedication and commitment.
The state government assured residents that all ongoing projects and programmes under the administration’s Building Your Future Agenda will continue without interruption.
