Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has urged residents of Madagali Local Government Area to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to security agencies.
The Governor made the call on Thursday during a working visit to Madagali his hometown where he met with traditional leaders and members of the community.
Addressing the gathering at the palace of the Ptil Madagali, Alhaji Ali Danburam, in Gulak, governor Fintiri emphasized that no society can achieve lasting progress while sheltering criminals.
He issued a stern warning that anyone found aiding or concealing criminal elements would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Governor Fintiri praised the current security situation in Madagali, describing it as calm and stable. He urged residents to carry on with their daily activities without fear, noting that his administration’s efforts had significantly improved safety across the state.
Highlighting achievements under his leadership, the Governor pointed to marked progress in the security sector, which he said had contributed to economic growth and improved living conditions for the people of Adamawa.
In his remarks, the Ptil Madagali expressed appreciation for the Governor’s visit and reiterated the Chiefdom’s support for the state government’s ongoing peace and development initiatives.
The monarch commended the administration’s commitment to restoring stability and pledged continued collaboration to maintain peace in the region.
