In a move aimed at strengthening youth and sports development across Nigeria and West Africa, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Nellyval Group.

The collaboration was announced during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigeria Unconquered Foundation (NUF) and ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre to the Apapa office of Nellyval Group in Lagos.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the company’s Chairman, Mr. Valentine Anele, Nellyval Group’s Executive Director,  Dr. Goodness Anele, formally opened discussions on the partnership.

She emphasized the company’s growing commitment to driving high-impact social initiatives, marking a significant shift from purely commercial operations to active participation in regional and civil-society development.

Dr. Anele described Nellyval Group as a diversified conglomerate with Nigerian roots and a global outlook. The company operates across multiple sectors including logistics and freight, oil and gas downstream, warehousing and bonded terminals, international trade facilitation, consultancy, and business services.

“This breadth of expertise positions Nellyval Group not only as a commercial leader, but as a strategic partner for organizations and initiatives seeking reliability, scale, reach, and infrastructure,” she stated.

The partnership discussions focused on Nellyval Group’s potential role as a host partner, logistics and operational enabler, and media and visibility support for the upcoming ECOWAS Para Games, an initiative that promotes inclusion through sports.

Both parties agreed to establish a working framework outlining Nellyval’s involvement in the Para Games. The agreement, according to them, will include , providing logistics and warehousing support for athlete gear, transport, and event materials ,leveraging Nellyval’s media and communications platforms to promote inclusive sports.

Others are, exploring sponsorship, mentorship programs, and athlete development initiatives across Nigeria and West Africa; and creating a timeline and deliverables ahead of the Games’ launch phase.

According to Dr. Anele, the collaboration represents part of a wider strategy to foster public-private-civil society alliance that can deliver sustainable regional sports and youth development programs.

“The alignment of ECOWAS’ inclusive sports agenda with Nellyval Group’s values of empowerment, reliability, and social impact signifies a shared vision to create opportunities beyond business,” she added.

The partnership , as gathered by the WorldClass247News, is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s role in promoting youth empowerment, sports inclusion, and regional cooperation within the ECOWAS community.
