As Muslims in Adamawa State prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the State Police Command has unveiled a comprehensive security strategy to ensure a peaceful and safe holiday across the state.
In a statement released, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property before, during, and after the Sallah festivities.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations has been assigned to coordinate the deployment of security personnel throughout the state.
Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders, according to the statement, have also been directed to lead operations in their respective jurisdictions.
The security plan includes high-visibility patrols and confidence-building operations around Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, residential neighborhoods, and other public areas aimed at deterring criminal activities and maintaining public order.
Extending the Command’s goodwill, CP Morris congratulated the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and the entire populace on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
The Police Commissioner also cautioned officers deployed for the holiday duties to act with professionalism and discipline.
He urged members of the public to remain law-abiding, celebrate peacefully, and report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station.
