The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded another success in its fight against crime, recovering a stolen Toyota RAV4 and arresting two suspects linked to the incident.
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, the recovery followed a complaint filed on 23rd December 2024 by Mr. Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa, Yola South Local Government Area.
Mr. Umar, according to the command, reported the theft of his Toyota RAV4, bearing registration number RSH 548 BB.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, swiftly deployed a team of detectives led by SP Habib Muhammed Musa, the Divisional Police Officer of Yola.
Their efforts, as lucidly made known in the statement, led to the arrest of two suspects who were identified as, Yusuf Mohd Isah, 25, a resident of Wuro Hausa, Yola South, and Faisal Mahmud, 30, a resident of Kolere Ward, Mubi North.
The suspects, the police said, are currently in custody and assisting investigators as efforts continue to recover other stolen properties.
The police command emphasized its commitment to public safety and encouraged residents to provide credible information to aid crime prevention.
The statement further assured the public that the suspects will face prosecution upon the conclusion of the investigation.
