The Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up (NFWP-SU), Gombe State, has warned members of the public against a fake grant link circulating on social media and other online platforms, falsely claiming to offer grants and empowerment opportunities under the programme.
In a statement, the Gombe State Project Coordinator, Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Hassan, said the link is fraudulent and does not originate from the project.
She cautioned members of the public against clicking on the link, submitting personal information, sharing bank details or verification codes, or making payments in response to such claims.
Hajiya Hauwa explained that all legitimate information concerning grants, financial support, empowerment opportunities and other project interventions would be communicated through officially recognised channels.
She urged Local Project Implementation Units, Ward Facilitators, Women Affinity Group members and community stakeholders to disregard the fraudulent information and help prevent its further circulation.
The Project Coordinator reaffirmed the programme’s commitment to protecting beneficiaries and safeguarding the integrity of its operations.
She advised members of the public seeking clarification or accurate information to contact the Gombe State Project Coordination Unit through its toll-free line, 08000070777.
