In a decisive step toward economic revitalization and job creation, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has formalized a strategic partnership with Origin Group Nigeria, a prominent agro-food systems company.
The partnership, officially announced in Yola, is set to unlock large-scale agricultural investments aimed at positioning Adamawa as a key player in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
Governor Fintiri assured the company of his administration’s unwavering support, including the provision of a secure and investor-friendly environment to ensure sustainable operations.
“This collaboration aligns with our vision to transform Adamawa into an agricultural powerhouse,” the governor said. “We are ready to provide every necessary incentive to guarantee Origin Group’s success here.”
Governor Fintiri emphasized the crucial role agriculture plays in tackling food insecurity and youth unemployment, reaffirming his administration’s focus on using the sector as a tool for sustainable development.
Representing Origin Group, Prince J. Samuel commended the state’s leadership, noting that Adamawa’s status as Nigeria’s third-safest state was a key factor in the investment decision.
He outlined the company’s strategic plans for the state, which include the cultivation of 25,000 hectares of farmland, collaboration with the government on agricultural input support, the development of tomato farming, and strengthening high-value agricultural chains.
“With Governor Fintiri’s leadership and private sector backing, Adamawa is on the verge of a major agricultural breakthrough that will boost the economy and create thousands of jobs,” Samuel said.
The agreement, as revealed by WorldClass247News findings, marks a significant milestone in Adamawa’s drive to harness agriculture as a driver of economic growth and resilience.
