Two alleged silent partners of the controversial Zanzou nightclub have reportedly left South Africa as police intensify their investigation into serious allegations of sexual assault, torture, and extortion linked to the establishment.
The scandal erupted after disturbing videos surfaced online, showing security staff violently abusing club-goers.
In response, the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) raided the Hatfield-based nightclub, leading to the arrest of a 41-year-old man from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
However, authorities have now shifted their focus to the club’s financial backers, who may have played a role in its operations.
Police are actively searching for seven additional suspects, and Zanzou, at the time of filing this report, has been shut down for violating regulations.
A man identified only as Pablo, who claims to have worked at the club for seven years, has been sharing graphic footage of alleged abuse.
He alleges that he possesses 75 recordings documenting brutal assaults by club bouncers, some of which reportedly resulted in victims losing consciousness before being dumped in remote areas.
