Sakinah Medical Outreach (SMO) has announced its latest medical mission, set to take place from February 16 to 21, 2025, at the National Hospital Abuja.
This initiative , according to the statement made available to the WorldClass247News, the Chairman, Sakinah Medical Outreach, Dr. Salman Yusuf, is aimed at providing free, high-quality medical care to over 100 underserved Nigerians.
Reaffirming SMO’s commitment to humanitarian healthcare. the organization, in It pass sixteen years, according to the statement, has touched the lives of more than 13,00 patients across Nigeria and internationally, including in Germany, India, and Turkey.
Patients requiring specialized care, as announced by the chairman, will have access to a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including arthroplasty, kidney stone surgery, lipoma removal, circumcision, hernia repair, among others.
Guided by Islamic values of mercy , compassion, and service, SMO, as made known by the chairman, remains dedicated to making quality healthcare accessible to all.
Dr. Yusuf emphasized the spiritual and humanitarian significance of the mission, quoting the Quran, stating that, “We sent thee (O Muhammad) not, but as a Mercy for all creatures” (Quran 21:107).
He also referenced the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who said:“ The best of deeds is to care for the sick.” (Bukhari)
The initiative, was said to have been made possible through collaborations with Medics Across Continents (MAC) and National Hospital Abuja (NHA).
Dr. Yusuf expressed gratitude to all donors, corporate sponsors, and well-wishers whose generosity fuels the mission’s success.
“As we embark on this journey, we pray for Allah’s guidance and blessings. May our efforts bring relief and hope to those in need,” he concluded.
