The ECOWAS Resident Representative in Guinea-Bissau, Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, has taken steps to enhance the visibility of the organization’s programs and activities in the host country.
As part of this effort, she paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Minister of Communication, Mr. Florentino Dias.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ukaeje emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration between ECOWAS and Guinea-Bissau’s media sector to ensure more effective coverage and public awareness of the regional body’s initiatives.
In response, Minister Dias welcomed the proposal but acknowledged existing challenges, particularly the need for improved media infrastructure and resources to support widespread dissemination of information.
Ambassador Ukaeje assured the minister that ECOWAS remains committed to supporting all member states, including Guinea-Bissau, in strengthening media engagement.
She also highlighted the significance of this collaboration, especially as ECOWAS marks its 50th anniversary this year.
The meeting, as gathered by WorldClass247News, underscores ECOWAS’ ongoing commitment to fostering regional integration and ensuring its programs reach the communities they are designed to serve.
