The Edo state government has announced the nomination of Ayewoh Ambrose Oyakhilome as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The nomination was approved by the Executive governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, according to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor,
Oyakhilome is described as a dedicated politician and public administrator with a strong commitment to effective leadership and public service. The government said he is passionate about promoting policies and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and learning outcomes across the state.
Before his nomination, Oyakhilome served as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency (RARA), where he was involved in the administration and implementation of government programmes focused on improving rural connectivity and infrastructure.
The state government said his nomination would be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
If confirmed, Oyakhilome will take charge of the state’s basic education board, with responsibility for supporting the implementation of policies and programmes aimed at strengthening basic education in Edo state.
