Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has been honoured with the Northeast Governor of the Year Award at the maiden edition of the Progressive Digital Summit held over the weekend in Abuja.
The summit, which celebrates innovative governance and impactful leadership across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, recognised Governor Zulum for his exceptional performance and commitment to rebuilding and transforming Borno State despite numerous challenges.
The award was received on behalf of the governor by his Senior Technical Assistant on Print and Digital Communications, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, who expressed deep appreciation for the recognition.
“This honour is a testament to the relentless efforts of Governor Zulum in transforming Borno into a land of hope and progress. His leadership has inspired a new wave of resilience and development in the face of challenges,” Bundi said.
He noted that the award would further energize the governor’s commitment to sustainable development and peace in the region.
“This recognition will fuel the resolve of our amiable governor to work tirelessly to ensure that the dreams of our people become reality, and that our region continues on the path of sustainable growth and peace,” he added.
