The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has expressed its strong commitment to winning the forthcoming by-election in Ibadan North Local Government Area, slated for August 16, 2025.
The Party leadership has urged stakeholders to put aside all divisive tendencies and work in unity to secure victory.
This charge was delivered by the State Chairman of the PDP, Dayo Ogungbenro, during a stakeholders’ engagement meeting held at the Party Secretariat in Molete, Ibadan.
Addressing party faithful at the meeting, the State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, stressed the importance of unity and collective effort.
He noted that with Governor Seyi Makinde’s significant contributions to the local government, there is no reason why the Party should not deliver its candidate, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle Don, in the election.
Also speaking, Seun Olufade praised Governor Makinde’s leadership, particularly in fostering peace and harmony among party aspirants and stakeholders in Ibadan North. He expressed confidence that the PDP would emerge victorious in the upcoming poll.
Echoing similar sentiments, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Chief (Mrs) Toyin Balogun, assured the Party’s state leadership that Ibadan North remains a stronghold of the PDP. She stated that the Party has its brightest chance yet to claim victory in the forthcoming by-election.
The Acting Chairman of PDP in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Muyiwa Mustapha, pledged his commitment to leading the Party to success, promising to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure a resounding win.
