Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has again launched the construction of a 100-bed capacity general hospital and a modern market complex in Dikwa as part of his administration’s efforts to rebuild and develop communities affected by over a decade of insurgency.
Governor Zulum visited the proposed project site where he directed contractors to commence work without delay. The hospital, once completed, he said will be equipped with modern medical facilities and specialized units to cater to a wide range of health needs, including emergency services, maternal care, and outpatient treatment.
“These projects are crucial steps in restoring stability, strengthening healthcare delivery, and revitalizing the local economy,” Zulum said during the site inspection.
He further urged contractors to strictly adhere to engineering standards and timelines, emphasizing the importance of delivering quality infrastructure to the people of Dikwa.
The projects, according to the governor, are part of a broader initiative by the state government to rebuild critical public infrastructure and restore normalcy across conflict-affected areas
