The Muslim Public Affairs Centre MPAC, Nigeria, has expressed shock over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday afternoon at a clinic in London.
In a statement signed by its Executive Chairman, Disu Kamor, MPAC described Buhari’s death as a profound loss, offering prayers for Allah’s forgiveness, mercy, and for the late President to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
“While the full measure of his legacy will be left to history and the generations to come, his passing is a solemn reminder of the temporary nature of power, the accountability of leadership, and the inevitable return to our Lord,” the statement read.
MPAC called on Nigerians to reflect on life, service, faith, nation, and conscience, adding that Buhari’s legacy should inspire efforts to build a better future for the country.
The organization extended condolences to Buhari’s family, the government, and the people of Nigeria, praying for comfort and strength for all who mourn his loss.
