Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has called on newly recruited police constables from the state to maintain professionalism and integrity as they begin their careers in law enforcement.
The governor’s message was delivered at the passing-out parade of the 2022 police constables held at the Police Training School in Yelwa, Bauchi State.
Represented by a high-powered delegation, Governor Yahaya congratulated the constables for successfully completing their rigorous training.
In a statement by Joshua Ɗanmalam, Information Officer at the Secretary to the State Government’s Office, the governor extended his congratulations to the recruits and their families, urging them to be exemplary ambassadors of both Gombe State and Nigeria. He wished them success in their law enforcement careers.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, represented by the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa, also addressed the recruits. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and integrity, cautioning that the force would not tolerate unethical conduct.
Some of the new constables expressed their gratitude to Governor Yahaya and the Gombe State Government for their financial and material support, which they credited for their successful completion of training.
They pledged their commitment to serving the nation diligently and upholding the values of their profession.
