The Edo State Police Command has rescued the Onogie of Udo-Eguare, who was abducted on February 3, 2025.
The rescue operation, led by Commissioner of Police, Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, took place on February 7 at approximately 6:00 PM.
This success, according to the statement made available to journalists by the command, follows sustained search and rescue efforts by law enforcement agencies, with support from local vigilantes, hunters, and concerned residents.
The Edo State Police Command applauded the state governor, Monday Okpebholo for his logistical support, according to the command, which played a key role in the operation.
Reaffirming its commitment to tackling crime, the Command assured the public that efforts to ensure safety and security across the state remain steadfast.
