Ogun State police have launched an investigation after the lifeless body of Inspector Haruna Mohammed was discovered in a hotel room in the Akute area of Ogun state, Nigeria.
The officer, as gathered by WorldClass247News, had checked into Super G Royal Hotel, located at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, with an unidentified woman around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025. However, by morning, the woman was nowhere to be found.
According to a police report, hotel manager Deborah Adejobi found the room unlocked at about 8:52 a.m. Upon entering, she discovered Mohammed’s body inside. The hotel’s owner, Abiodun Olagunju, immediately reported the case to the police.
Investigations revealed that the woman had been seen earlier at the hotel reception around 6:00 a.m., where she requested a bottle of water before disappearing.
Authorities have classified Mohammed’s death as “unnatural,” though the cause remains unknown.
His body, at the time of filing this report, has been transported to Life Channel Mortuary in Olambe for further examination.
The police have launched a manhunt for the missing woman and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
