The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Ofagbe Ward 04, Isoko North Local Government council of Delta state, have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
The move, as observed by WorldClass247News, came during their first stakeholders’ meeting of 2025.
The meeting, held at Dr. Okoro’s residence, highlighted the Governor’s impact on the grassroots, including political appointments, economic empowerment initiatives, and infrastructure projects like the ongoing road construction linking Ellu to Ada.
Moving the motion, Ward Chairman, Aki Oromena Nathaniel, praised the governor for his commitment to development in Ofagbe, citing visible progress in the community as evidence of his effective leadership. The motion was seconded by Aso Kingsley, Councillor representing Ofagbe Ward 04.
Similarly, the ward’s leadership passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Okoro, lauding his dedication to strengthening the PDP in Ofagbe and across Delta State. He was described as a source of inspiration and a unifying force for the party and the community.
In his address, Dr. Okoro, a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, thanked party members for their continued support and the confidence reposed in him and Governor Oborevwori.
He assured them of his commitment to advancing the party’s goals and fostering development in Ofagbe.
Dr. Okoro also reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to completing the ongoing road project, emphasizing its importance in connecting communities in Isoko North and South. He assured stakeholders that the project would be completed in due time.
Former councillors, party chairmen, and other stakeholders also participated, expressing their satisfaction with the progress made under Governor Oborevwori’s administration and their resolve to continue supporting the PDP’s developmental agenda.
