Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has addressed criticisms of his administration, emphasizing that his re-election bid in 2027 will be determined by God, not his detractors.
Speaking to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House ahead of the February 15 local council elections, Governor Radda reaffirmed his reliance on divine guidance rather than engaging with critics to secure votes.
In a statement delivered in Hausa, the governor said, “Some people are spreading side talks, saying I will serve my four years and return to them for re-election. But who told you I will come back to you? I will return to He (God) who gave me this mandate in 2023 to seek re-election in 2027.”
Governor Radda further declared that the era of election rigging through ballot box manipulation was over, urging APC members to intensify their efforts in mobilizing voters to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming elections.
The governor’s remarks underline his confidence in the APC’s grassroots support and his commitment to upholding transparent and credible electoral processes.
