Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasizing that he remains a loyal member of the party and wishes to be recognized as such.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari reaffirmed his allegiance without referencing any ongoing political discussions or figures within the party. He made it clear that his loyalty to the APC remains steadfast and that he will continue to support and promote the party.
“I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularize the party by all means,” Buhari stated.
Expressing gratitude for the support he received from the APC during his two-term presidency, Buhari described it as the highest honor and emphasized that he expects nothing more in return.
He also lauded the party’s founding leaders for their efforts in strengthening democracy and upholding constitutional principles, urging that their sacrifices be preserved and nurtured.
Buhari’s reaffirmation comes as APC leaders continue to engage in discussions about the party’s direction and leadership. His statement signals his continued presence as a key figure in the party’s political landscape.
