The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed security personnel to Lamza and Kawa communities following a violent communal clash that resulted in significant destruction of property.
Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris announced the deployment as part of efforts to restore peace and prevent further escalation of the crisis.
In a statement, he directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Investigation, to carry out a thorough probe into the incident and ensure that those responsible are arrested.
Expressing sadness over the unrest, Morris reassured residents and the state government that justice would be served.
He also instructed officers on the ground to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators, stressing that normalcy has already been restored in the affected areas.
The Adamawa Police Command has urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement authorities as investigations continue.
