The Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC) has congratulated Professor Is-haq Oloyede, on the successful completion of his tenure as Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), describing his decade-long leadership as a model of institutional transformation and public service excellence.
In a statement signed by its Executive Chairman, Disu Kamor, MPAC praised Prof. Oloyede for introducing far-reaching reforms that strengthened transparency, accountability, innovation and financial discipline within JAMB.
The organisation noted that under Prof. Oloyede’s leadership, JAMB recorded significant improvements in the administration of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), enhanced the credibility of the Computer-Based Testing system, improved admissions transparency through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), and deployed technology-driven measures to reduce examination malpractice.
MPAC also highlighted the board’s improved financial management and revenue remittances to the Federal Government, describing the achievements as a benchmark for effective public sector leadership in Nigeria.
According to the statement, Prof. Oloyede’s tenure demonstrated that integrity, competence and ethical leadership could successfully drive reforms in public institutions.
“Prof. Oloyede has shown that public office is a trust that must be discharged with diligence, accountability and sincerity,” MPAC stated, adding that his leadership reflected the values of responsible stewardship and service.
The group commended the former JAMB registrar for his contributions to national development, noting that his legacy would continue to inspire public servants and future leaders.
MPAC also congratulated Professor Segun Aina on his appointment as the new Registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB, urging him to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor while introducing new reforms to further strengthen the institution.
The organisation encouraged Prof. Aina to preserve the gains recorded over the past decade and ensure that Nigeria’s tertiary admissions system remains credible, efficient and globally competitive.
“Progress in institutions is sustained through continuity, innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” MPAC said, expressing confidence that Prof. Aina possesses the experience and capacity to lead JAMB into a new era of impactful service.
The group further called on public officials across Nigeria to draw lessons from Prof. Oloyede’s tenure by serving with sincerity, diligence and integrity, while remaining conscious of their responsibility to the citizens they serve.
MPAC prayed for continued blessings and good health for Prof. Oloyede and wished Prof. Aina wisdom, strength and success in his new assignment.
