The Yobe State Government has officially issued appointment letters to 42 newly recruited community nurses from Set Three of the Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery, Damaturu.
The ceremony, held at the Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board headquarters, was presided over by the Board’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Babagana Kundi Machina, who was represented by the Director of Human Resources for Health, Muhammed K. Usman.
Welcoming the new nurses, Dr. Machina congratulated them on their selection and highlighted the critical role they will play in improving healthcare delivery across the state.
He urged them to remain committed to their duties and uphold professional standards in serving their communities.
The issuance of the appointment letters was said to be part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance primary healthcare services in Yobe.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the nurses by providing the necessary resources to ensure their effectiveness in their new roles.
