The management of Worldclass247News has officially retracted a previous publication that misattributed critical remarks about healthcare services to the Chief Imam of the Taraba State Police Command Headquarters Jummu’at Mosque, Ustaz Mustapha Nuhu Badamasi.
In its Friday edition, the online news outlet had reported that the Imam criticized the quality of healthcare delivery at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo. However, the Imam has since disowned the statement, describing the report as false and misleading.
Speaking on the matter, Ustaz Badamasi expressed disappointment over the misrepresentation of his sermon, stressing the importance of responsible journalism.
He urged media practitioners to verify information thoroughly before publication to avoid misinformation.
The Imam also highlighted the numerous achievements recorded under the leadership of the current Chief Medical Director of FMC Jalingo.
He encouraged residents of Taraba State to utilize the hospital’s facilities and prioritize regular medical check-ups for better health outcomes.
The Chief Imam urged Tarabans to submit their complaints through proper channels, such as the hospital’s SERVICOM unit, rather than posting them on social media.
