Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana U. Zulum, has inaugurated a state of the art eye and dental hospital in southern part of the state.
The newly inaugurated eye and dental hospital were observed to be fully equipped with modern facilities to provide comprehensive oral and vision care services.
A team of highly trained medical doctors and specialists, according to him, will offer treatments including preventative dental care, orthodontics, restorative procedures, as well as interventions for cataracts , glaucoma, and other vision related ailments.
As part of his education reform, Governor Zulum was also observed to have commissioned a mega secondary school in Miring, located about 10 kilometers from Biu town in Biu local government council.
The 60 classroom facility includes an ICT Centre , four science laboratories, and other modern amenities to enhance learning.
The school, as gathered by The Trumpet, is expected to accommodate over 1,300 students.
In addition to these projects, the governor , alao approved the distribution of N1 billion to support small and medium scale enterprises and provide financial relief to vulnerable residents in Bui and Hawul local government councils
He also flagged of the construction of 600 housing units for teachers in five local government council council reinforcing his commitment to improving their living conditions.
